Stephen Lang
STEPHEN LANG Broadway credits include his highly acclaimed performance as Lt. Colonel Jessep in A Few Good Men, Lou in The Speed of Darkness (Tony and Outer Critics nominations), Happy in Death of A Salesman (Drama Desk nomination), and Hamlet at the Roundabout. Other work in New York includes Beyond Glory, Killer's Head, Awake and Sing, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, The Shadow of A Gunman. Lang honed his stage craft at some of the Nation's finest resident theaters, including The Guthrie, the New York Shakespeare Festival, Yale Rep, BAM, The Goodman, Circle in the Square, The Kennedy Center, The McCarter and a score of others; in works by Ibsen, Moliere, Williams, Miller, Odets, Shakespeare, Shepard, Shaw, Gogol, O'Casey and Beckett. Feature films include Last Exit to Brooklyn, Tombstone, Gettysburg, Manhunter, Twice in a Lifetime, The Hard Way, Shadow Conspiracy, Fire Down Below, The Amazing Panda Adventure, Tall Tale, Niagra, Niagra and The Money Shot. TV series and anthology work includes Crime Story, Tribeca, The Outer Limits and Dead Man's Gun. Network and cable telefilms include: A Town Has Turned to Dust, Babe Ruth, Death of A Salesman, The Mother, Journey of the Heart, and Escape: Human Cargo. Mr. Lang is the voice of George Washington in Liberty! on PBS this season. He is recognized as a top audio recording actor, having interpreted (and sometimes produced) between 40 and 50 books on tape, including Gods and Generals, Vertical Run (Audi Award), Corelli's Mandolin, Mason's Retreat, Numbered Account and Siberian Light. He has received Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award, and Washington's Helen Hayes Award. Lang is a member of The Actors Studio.
