Mary Catherine Burke
MARY CATHERINE BURKE is the Artistic Director of Millbrook Playhouse where she directed Syringa Tree and Rebound and Gagged. Other directing credits include On Island also by Michael Domitrovitch at 59E59th, Road to Ruin and Austentatious at The New York Music Theatre Festival * Winner- Best Featured Actor, Dirt, 59E59th and Edinburugh, Diving Normal, The Fringe Festival, *Winner of Best Ensemble, The Celebrity 24 Hour Plays at The American Airlines Theatre, Boocock's Church of Baseball at The Flea, September Call-Up a world premiere by Steven Dietz, Boocock=VP which ran at HERE, ARS NOVA and EST's Octoberfest. Anna Christie by O'Neill, An Enemy of the People by Ibsen, Learning to Walk by Ionesco, Grace and Glory, and Winners, Losers and Translations all by Brian Friel. Her assistant directing credits include: Fortune's Fool on Broadway directed by Arthur Penn, A Mother. A Daughter. And A Gun, starring Olympia Dukakis directed by Jonathan Lynn, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn at Goodspeed Opera House directed by Elinore Renfield, as well as shows at Second Stage, Hartford Stage, The Cherry Lane Theatre, The Signature Theatre Company, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. She is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab and has been a recipient of the Drama League Fall fellowship, and a member of SSDC.
